Three bulk and commodity workflows

From an origin load
to a reconciled receipt.

Bulk transport connects facilities, loading resources and commercial records. These three operating models show where transport coordination, facility readiness and evidence of delivery intersect.

01 / High-volume movements

Primary Commodity Transport

Coordinate bulk and commodity movements between production origins, transfer facilities and receiving sites. Keep shipment requirements, vehicle fit and loading availability visible when transport is planned.

02 / Facility and load readiness

Loading & Inter-site Coordination

Align site readiness, loading appointments, suitable equipment and unloading constraints across plants, terminals, storage locations and depots before dispatch.

03 / Execution and freight control

Quantity & Freight Reconciliation

Connect dispatch and receipt records to the trip, review reported quantity differences and use verified execution data when checking the freight charges.

Operational requirements

Move the quantity.
Control the handovers.

A viable commodity transport plan depends on loading readiness, vehicle and equipment requirements, access to facilities and the records that confirm what actually moved.

01

Commodity volume and shipment requirements

Take requested quantities, loading units and location constraints into account when creating transport requirements. Quantity and unit conventions depend on the commodity and source data.

02

Vehicle and equipment suitability

Check vehicle capacity and relevant body, container or loading equipment requirements against the planned movement; special conditions are configured for each operation.

03

Loading and unloading coordination

Align plant and terminal readiness, operating slots, site access and loading milestones to avoid disconnected handovers.

04

Quantity and freight evidence

Compare dispatched and received quantities, preserve execution references and investigate discrepancies before reviewing the related freight charges.

Illustrative workflows only. Weighbridge readings, stock values, quality certificates and tolerance thresholds originate in connected systems or configured processes where available; this page does not imply certified weighing or automatic quantity settlement in every deployment.

From commodity request to reconciliation

One commodity movement.
Four controlled handovers.

A practical workflow linking transport demand, load feasibility, shipment execution and receipt verification.

01

Translate quantity into transport demand

Receive planned volumes, site conditions and receiving requirements from the relevant operational or enterprise systems.

02

Choose equipment, capacity and loading plan

Review suitable vehicle resources, terminal access and appointment information before confirming a workable trip.

03

Follow loading, transit and receipt

Capture the expected milestones and available source events, including loading and arrival updates.

04

Review quantities and freight charges

Investigate any recorded difference between dispatch and receipt data, then use validated execution records as context for freight audit.

Questions & clarifications

Bulk transportation
in operational context.

Primary movements need shipment constraints, site coordination and evidence of what actually arrived. The level of automation depends on the configured environment.

Can iBisTMS manage transport between production sites, terminals and depots?

Yes. Transportation workflows can coordinate inter-site requirements, trips and the available execution updates. The precise locations, products and resource rules depend on configuration.

Can loading slots and unloading restrictions be reflected in transport planning?

Relevant site windows, operating constraints and loading details can be used when they are configured and supplied by the customer systems or planning process.

Does iBisTMS automatically reconcile dispatched and received bulk quantities?

The platform can place operational quantities and shipment records in context for review when integrations provide those data. Automatic reconciliation, tolerances and validation rules must be confirmed for the specific implementation.

Does the platform operate weighbridges or certify commodity measurements?

No. Yard and weighbridge integrations may be available in particular implementations, but certified measurement and stock accounting belong to the appropriate connected systems and processes.

Can own fleet and external carriers be coordinated in one workflow?

Both resource types can be evaluated and assigned using the available profiles, capacity and contractual context. The operator keeps control of the assignment.

Are Bulk & Commodity customer stories already public?

Not on this page. A bulk reference will be listed only when one is documented and authorized.
